If you downloaded the file on a Mac, your browser may have removed the ".zip" from the end of the filename. You will need to rename the file to .zip and then double-click it in order to unzip it. If you are still having trouble, please get in touch.

We support Microsoft Windows 7 or later, and Mac. If you have a different operating system, please get in touch and we’ll help you install the system on your computer.

If you have a firewall on your network, then ports 4401 TCP outbound connection, 4403 and 4405 only on local network (UDP and TCP) must be opened in the firewall to allow connection between our software and the remote data vault.

While many free services are supported by selling your personal information to other companies, we don't do that! Your files and information are stored secured and encrypted on state-of-the-art servers. We do support the cost of your free storage by offering advertising opportunities to third party sponsors, by way of various unintrusive banner ads and other promotional advertising opportunities that are shown to you when you view your backup reports. In addition, a number of our users trust us enough to upgrade to some of our higher-tier services, making this a worthwhile endeavor to us.

Storage Guardian is a discount reseller of Asigra, a leader in data protection services that’s used by thousands of companies worldwide. Although Asigra provides the software, the servers and infrastructure are handled by Storage Guardian, and your data is safe with us.
